Modafinil MD Review

Looking for a detailed Modafil MD Review to see what all the fuss is about? Look no further!

Modafil MD is one of the most unique generic modafinil formulations on the market today. It is sublingual, meaning it is taken by dissolving under the tongue rather than swallowed as a pill. But while sublingual administration has many benefits, Modafil MD may not be the most ideal nootropic for you.

Here's our informative Modafil MD review, including its benefits and possible side effects, plus how it compares to other modafinil generics.

What is Modafil MD?

Modafil MD is a generic modafinil. Unlike other generic modafinil medications, it is designed to be taken sublingually (dissolved under the tongue) rather than swallowed.

Like other versions of modafinil, it is designed to help people with sleep disorders (such as sleep apnea and narcolepsy) stay awake during the day. However, it has several documented off-label uses for depression, anxiety, and ADHD. In fact, more modafinil is prescribed for off-label purposes, such as those just mentioned, than to promote wakefulness in people with sleep disorders [1, 2].

Modafinil also has a number of cognition-enhancing effects that make it a very popular nootropic or smart drug. Modafinil users for its nootropic benefits report that it gives them long-lasting energy, more focus and concentration, and improves memory [3].

Modafil MD is available in 100 mg or 200 mg dosages, unlike most modafinil medications, which are typically only available in 200 mg form. Users report that Modafil MD has a pleasant mint flavor.

Sublingual Modafinil

One of the most unique things about Modafil MD is that it is sublingual, meaning it is designed to dissolve under the tongue, rather than swallowed like a pill. Most other generic versions of modafinil (and the brand name, Provigil) are pills that must be swallowed.

However, there are several potential advantages of sublingual medications:

  • Easier to take. If you have trouble swallowing pills, chewables, liquids, and sublinguals are a much better alternative.
  • Reduction of pill load. For people who take a lot of pills, “pill loading” is a very real problem. Sublingual medications can help reduce the daily burden of pills that must be swallowed daily, even slightly [4].
  • Faster absorption. Sublingual medications are absorbed directly into the bloodstream, so they are absorbed more quickly and therefore the effects are usually felt faster.5].
  • Avoid the digestive system. Unlike pills, which must first enter the digestive system to be absorbed, sublingual pills are absorbed directly from the mouth into the bloodstream. That is why they usually take effect more quickly than pills.5].
  • Avoid liver. After passing through the digestive system, the pills are metabolized by the liver, which can significantly alter them and cause them to lose potency. This is known as the "first pass effect." However, sublingual drugs can also bypass hepatic metabolism and instead enter the bloodstream directly.5, 6].
  • A lower dose may be just as effective as pills. For all of these reasons, but more particularly because it is able to bypass the digestive system and liver and enter directly into the bloodstream, a lower dose of sublingual medications may be as effective as higher doses of the pill form.5].

Unfortunately, due to a lack of research, we are not sure exactly how the doses and absorption rates of Modafil MD compare to modafinil pills.

Benefits of Modafil MD

Modafil MD has several potential benefits, as do others modafinil versions:

  • Ability to improve mood. A review of six studies on modafinil and depression noted that modafinil may help reduce fatigue and self-reported depressive symptoms in depressed people. Depression is also one of the most common off-label diagnoses for which Modafinil is prescribed.2, 7].
  • Improved memory. Two human studies have observed improvements in memory in both healthy and depressed adults after a single dose of modafinil 200 mg.8, 9].
  • Greater focus and better decision making. Taking just a 200 mg dose of modafinil may improve executive function (such as decision making and planning) in healthy adults [8].
  • Sustained energy. Modafinil can improve energy levels and reduce fatigue in people with many different health conditions, including HIV/AIDS and multiple sclerosis. It has also been used to help promote alertness in people who have had a stroke. Additionally, it has been found useful in maintaining energy levels and alertness in sleep-deprived pilots [10, 11, 12, 13].

In addition to these benefits, Modafil MD may also have many of the benefits of the sublingual medications we listed above.

Modafil MD Side Effects

According to the US National Library of Medicine, modafinil (and therefore any generic version) may have the following side effects [1]:

  • "headache
  • dizziness
  • difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
  • drowsiness
  • nausea

  • constipation
  • gas
  • acidity
  • loss of appetite

  • perspiration
  • tight muscles or difficulty moving
  • Back pain
  • confusion
  • uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body

They also list the following serious side effects of modafinil, which may require urgent medical attention:

  • "rash
  • blisters
  • peel skin
  • mouth ulcers
  • urticaria
  • itching
  • hoarseness
  • difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
  • chest pain
  • fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat
  • frantic and abnormally excited mood
  • hallucinate (see things or hear voices that do not exist)
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • thinking about killing you or hurting you”

Modafinil may also have interactions with other medications. You should talk to your doctor before starting modafinil, especially if you are taking other prescription medications or have any medical conditions.14].

Additionally, in separate threads on Reddit, two different users expressed that Modafil MD specifically gave them unpleasant body odor. He first says:

"Hello everyone! I'm 24 years old, male, and I recently started taking Modafil MD 200 from Instas sublingually, which makes my sweat smell like rotten eggs."

He next says, in reference to Modafil MD:

"It's an internal taste that lasts all day... plus I stink a little."

This side effect appears to be unique to Modafil MD, as we have not found any other reports of other types of modafinil making people smell bad.

Where to buy Modafil MD online? | Guide 2023

It can be difficult to find a reliable and reputable supplier of generic modafinil products. That is why we recommend Modafinil XL. Along with other modafinil generics and research chemicals, they sell Modafil MD in 100 mg and 200 mg doses.

Modafil MD prices range from $1 to $3 per tablet. Interestingly, the 200 mg version is less expensive than the 100 mg version once larger purchases are made; otherwise, they are the same price. For the greatest cost savings, it is best to purchase larger quantities.

We like Modafinil XL because it has professional packaging and a secure payment system. They also offer various discounts and promotions, including a 20% discount if you pay with Bitcoin. When shipping to the US, standard shipping is $29 or free with a purchase of $80 or more. For express shipping you can pay $38, or free with a purchase of $180 or more.

This is why we recommend ordering your Modafil MD from Modafinil XL.

Is Modafil MD legal?

Modafil MD is a generic version of the prescription drug Provigil (modafinil), which is legal in the United States. It is a Schedule IV prescription drug, meaning it carries a low risk of abuse [15].

From country to country, the legal status of modafinil varies greatly. However, to our knowledge, there has not been a single incident where an individual in the Western world has been arrested or formally charged for purchasing modafinil online.

If it is legal to import and possess in your country, there are several ways to apply online. However, as we mentioned above, we prefer Modafinil XL. They also offer worldwide shipping.

How long does Modafil MD take to work?

Since users report that modafinil taken in pill form can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more to become noticeably effective, we would expect the faster-absorbing sublingual Modafil MD to be much quicker.

Unfortunately, no scientific research has been done on the absorption time of Modafil MD, nor are there any user reports that we can find. Despite its unique formulation, Modafil MD is not a commonly used drug among nootropic enthusiasts.

We can only theorize, based on what we know about sublingual drug administration, that Modafil MD will “work” faster than modafinil in pill form.

Modafil MD Dosage and Tolerance

Modafil MD comes in 100 mg or 200 mg dosages.

The standard dose of modafinil in pill form when prescribed to help with wakefulness is 200 mg. However, nootropic users report taking a daily modafinil dose of 50 to 300 mg.1].

One thing to consider specifically with Modafil MD is that it is sublingual, meaning it will likely be absorbed more quickly and may have a stronger effect than the modafinil pill, even for the same dosage.

For this reason, we would start with the lowest dose of Modafil MD: 100 mg. Although it may be easier to purchase the 200 mg version at some online retailers, Modafinil XL also offers the 100 mg version for sale.

It is important to use caution when taking a new product. That's why our preferred strategy is to start with the smallest dose available, carefully evaluate how it affects us, and slowly increase from there if necessary.

Modafil MD vs. Modalert vs. Modvigil vs. Provigil

So how does Modafil MD compare to other types of modafinil? We have the answers right here.

First, let's talk about some of the most common and well-known Modafinil brands:

  • Provigilia: Provigil is the original brand name for Modafinil, which was invented in France in the late 1970s. Provigil received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration in 1998 and is manufactured by Cephalon. Although it is the brand name version of modafinil, it is not widely used among nootropic enthusiasts.
  • Modal alert: On the other hand, Modalert is one of the most popular generic modafinil options for nootropic users. It is manufactured by Sun Pharma and, from what we have read from users and what we have experienced ourselves, provides the greatest cognition-enhancing effect per pill of any modafinil product. It is available in Modafinil XL in 200 mg tablets.
  • Modvigil: Modvigil, manufactured by HAB Pharma, is formulated to be the most affordable generic modafinil available for purchase. And although it is inexpensive, many people report that it still provides enormous nootropic benefits. It is also available in Modafinil XL in 200 mg tablets.

All three variants come only in pill form, rather than sublinguals like Modafil MD. So how do we know which one is better?

Well, really… we don't know.In theory, since they all contain the same active ingredient, they should also have similar effects and benefits.

However, based on user experiences (including ours), we find Modalert and Modvigil to be the most reliable options. These two have a solid reputation based on reports from regular users and are made by manufacturers that have been around for a while.

On the other hand, it is very difficult to find reports of people who have used Modafil MD successfully.

However, if for some reason you need or strongly prefer the sublingual route of administration, you may want to consider Modafil MD over the other options.

Modafil MD Review | Verdict?

Modafil MD is a generic version of modafinil designed for sublingual administration. As a nootropic, it can help provide you with energy, improve your mood and focus, and support your memory and executive function.

There are also several benefits to taking medications sublingually, such as faster absorption and easier use. Unfortunately, we don't know much more about how Modafil MD works differently than modafinil pills because there has been no research comparing them.

Furthermore, we cannot find any positive reports from Modafil MD users online. In fact, two Reddit users said it made them stink, which is not a normal symptom of modafinil.

While Modafil MD is a great option if you don't like pills or can't take them, we prefer Modalert or Modvigil, and all of these products can be purchased with Modafinil XL.
